Thomas Christiansen would instantly win Leeds fans over by luring Sheffield Wednesday defender Tom Lees back to Elland Road this summer.

The Daily Mail claims the 26-year-old is interesting a whole host of clubs including Premier League duo Burnley and Huddersfield, while Championship sides Hull, Sunderland, Derby and Middlesbrough are also keen.

It is believed a fee of £5million will be enough to sign the commanding centre-back, who captained Sheffield Wednesday in 15 of his 38 league and cup outings for the Owls last season.

With four years still to go on his contract, it remains to be seen if Lees would be open to leaving Hillsborough this summer as he continues to shine under manager Carlos Carvalhal.

This Is Futbol analyses three reasons why Lees must be considered by the new manager in the Elland Road dugout as Spaniard Christiansen looks to build a side capable of achieving promotion back to the Premier League.
