West Ham have withdrawn their interest and ended their pursuit of Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud, according to a Sky Sports report.

The news outlet has revealed that the London club ended negotiations with the Gunners after finding out that they weren’t the 30-year-old’s first choice club.

Sky Sports report that Slaven Bilic will still sign at least one striker this summer but it won’t be Giroud or Kelechi Iheanacho, after the Hammers boss decided to also withdraw their interest from the Man City forward.

It is said that the Gunners’ forward could be looking to move to fellow Premier League club Everton or Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain instead, as both clubs have shown their interest in the French international.

West Ham have secured just one signing so far during the transfer window after the signed former Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta for free.

It is said that the Hammers are still in talks with Bayer Leverkusen and hope to sign the former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez despite his high wage demands.

Sky Sports also suggest that Slaven Bilic is confident about securing Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City in addition to signing a new keeper in the shape of Joe Hart, after he was knocked down in Pep Guardiola’s rankings following the recruitment of Benfica’s Ederson.
