OPINION

Newcastle United must focus their attention on signing West Bromwich Albion striker Salomon Rondon during the summer transfer window.

The Daily Mirror recently reported that West Brom manager Tony Pulis is prepared to let the £70,000-a-week forward leave the Hawthorns having secured the signature of striker Jay Rodriguez this summer.

The report claims that the Baggies are willing to sell Rondon, 27, for the right price and this is the perfect opportunity for Newcastle to make a move for the striker.

The Venezuelan was reportedly disappointed when a massive from offer from China which was rejected by West Brom during the January transfer window and now he appears to be available in the transfer market.

The striker currently has two years remaining on his current contract at the Hawthorns.
