Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling has praised his club’s business in the transfer window this summer.

City manager Pep Guardiola has already brought in several new faces this summer in the shapes of Douglas Luiz, Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva and Ederson.

Those four signings are thought to have taken the Citizen’s spending to well over £100million, and several more deals are in the pipeline if reports are to be believed.

Sterling, 22, was also keen to highlight his club’s goals for the 2017-18 campaign, stating they want to win the Premier League.

In an interview with the official Manchester City website Sterling spoke glowingly of his club’s business.

“We’ve already made some fantastic signings this summer that will only strengthen an already strong squad,” he said.

“We need to be winning trophies; we need to be getting that Premier League title back. For me, that’s the most important thing for next year – to be the best team in England.”

Sterling was one of City’s top performers last season, scoring 10 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions, as well as providing 21 assists.

He arrived at the Etihad in the summer of 2015 from Liverpool in a £50million move, and he has since played 91 league and cup games for the club, which have yielded 21 goals and 31 assists.

The 22-year-old has been capped by England on 32 occasions, and he featured for the full 90 minutes in the 3-2 friendly defeat to France earlier this summer.
