French giants Paris Saint-Germain have contacted Arsenal about a potential summer move for talisman Alexis Sanchez, according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper cites sources as saying the 28-year-old is confident he will be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Sanchez is said to be keen on a move to the French capital as they can meet his financial demands along with Champions League football next season.

The report claims that the Ligue 1 side would need to splash the cash and spend more than £50million to secure the Chilean’s signature.

It is said that PSG are the favourites to sign Sanchez as the Gunners are adamant that they will not sell him to another Premier League side, which rules out a move to rejoin forces with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

The Telegraph reports that Sanchez has been a long-term target for the French outfit who are desperate to add fresh faces to the squad in order to mount a serious challenge on the Champions League next season.

Sanchez was one of the best performers in the country last season, notching up a total of 30 goals and providing 19 assists in all competitions for Arsenal.

The forward also helped to guide the Chile national team into the Confederations Cup final in Russia this summer.

The Chilean’s current contract at the Emirates Stadium runs out next summer.
