Inter Milan playmaker Ivan Perisic has agreed to join Manchester United, according to a Sky journalist.

Sky Sports Italy correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on his personal website that the Croatia international has been in agreement with United over personal terms “for some time”.

Di Marzio, who is renowned as a transfer expert, claims that Perisic, 28, will head to Old Trafford to complete a mega-money move if Inter can agree on a fee with the Premier League giants.

He states that the Serie A club are refusing to budge from their £44million valuation of the powerful attacker, who is most effective cutting in from the left flank.

United have already tabled bids for the Croatian, who is firmly on the target list of manager Jose Mourinho.

Perisic has made a huge impact at Inter since joining from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2015 and proved to be one of the outstanding attacking players in Italy last season.

He scored 11 times in Serie A and matched that haul with a further 11 assists.

The 56-times international could be another expensive addition to the United ranks following Saturday’s acquisition of Romelu Lukaku from Everton in a deal that will reportedly cost £90million.
