Newcastle fans have been left divided on Twitter after the club revealed their new away kit for the upcoming season.
The club unveiled the light blue number on their official website as well as via their official Twitter account, with new signings Florian Lejeune and Christian Atsu modelling the kit alongside Jonjo Shelvey:

It is the final of the three kits to be released, with their home kit showing off their famous black and white stripes while the third choice kit is an all black ensemble.
However, the reaction to the latest shirt reveal has been mixed at best, with fans taking to social media to give their personal opinion.

The Magpies are celebrating the 125th anniversary of the club’s creation, after Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End merged back in 1892 to form Newcastle United.
As a result, there have been several touches included in the new kits to pay homage to the club’s history, including a one-off redesigned crest and red numbers which will figure on the back of the home kit for the upcoming campaign.
The away kit is said to represent the “Cambridge blue” shirts which were worn by Newcastle East End, although it would appear that not all fans were savvy to this piece of history.
