Manchester United have finally agreed a £40million fee with Inter Milan for winger Ivan Perisic, according to a recent report in The Sun.
The newspaper has revealed that the 27-year-old will fly out to the United States to meet the rest of the United squad and finalise his move to Old Trafford.
The Sun claims that Perisic has been eager to move to the Red Devils over recent months and will finally get his wish of playing in the Premier League next season.
It is thought that the Serie A outfit are due to finalise a deal with Keita Balde from Lazio as Perisic’s replacement.
The news follows a recent Sky Sports Italia interview with Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio, who said that the Serie A club had not considered any of Jose Mourinho’s offers for the striker.
However, contrary to the Inter director’s views, the Croatia international now looks close to finalising his move away from the San Siro Stadium.
Mourinho has made two signings during the current transfer window after he secured Benfica’s Ivan Perisic in addition to Everton goal machine Romelu Lukaku.
According to a previous report in The Sun, the Old Trafford manager has been handed a further £100 million to spend over the next few weeks in order to strengthen his squad ahead of the club’s upcoming Premier League campaign.
It is thought that after Perisic United will focus on the recruitment of Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, who United boss Mourinho brought back to Stamford Bridge during his last reign at the club.
