The young shot-stopper looked nervous early on, and he failed to instil much confidence in his defenders and manager as he was easily beaten by Silva for Real’s goal.
His performance improved slightly as the first-half went on, but overall it was a fairly average display from the 21-year-old, and he will be disappointed he could not impress in a rare outing for the first team.
Pereira will have hoped with a strong showing in pre-season he would force his way into Mourinho’s plans for next season, but that appears unlikely now.
