Newcastle would land one of the bargains of the summer transfer window by luring Chelsea attacker Izzy Brown to St. James’ Park for a fee of just £8million.

Telegraph journalist John Percy revealed on his personal Twitter account that fellow Premier League new boys Huddersfield are considering an a move for the 20-year-old, who starred on loan with the Terriers last season.

Brown, who has a contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2019, has risen through the Chelsea youth academy to be rated as one of Antonio Conte’s best young players.

However, with competition in the likes of Willian, Pedro and Eden Hazard in the final third, the two-time England Under-20’s international is way down the pecking order and may look for a transfer.

He would be perfect for Newcastle, who should make another raid on Chelsea for a young attacker after signing Christian Atsu earlier this summer.

This Is Futbol examines three reasons in which Brown would prove to be a hero on Tyneside if he decided to move to the north east as Rafa Benitez looks to sign the players capable of keeping the Toon in the Premier League.
