Chelsea fans have expressed their excitement on social media after the club confirmed the signing of Germany international defender Antonio Rudiger on Sunday afternoon.
The Premier League champions announced on their official Twitter account that the 24-year-old has completed his move from Serie A side Roma and signed a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

The German becomes the second Chelsea summer signing to the first-team after goalkeeper Willy Caballero completed a deal to move to West London following his release from fellow Premier League side Manchester City.
Rudiger is often used at centre-back but his versatility is such that he can also slot comfortably at the full-back position, where he has also played many times in his career.
After the club had announced the news, the Chelsea supporters took to social media to express their thoughts and the majority of fans appeared to be pleased and relieved to see their club finally confirm another new arrival.

It will be a new challenge for the defender given that he has never experienced playing in England during his footballing career.
Rudiger is a player with experience playing at the top level of football, making total of 19 appearances in the Champions League and Europa League along with 17 international caps for the Germany national team.
The defender can also provide a goal threat as he has scored 12 goals and provided four assists in all competitions during his career.
