Arsenal ace Wojciech Szczesny is set to sign for Juventus in a £7.8million move, according to a Mirror report.

The newspaper claims the 27-year-old Polish goalkeeper is not a part of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s plans for next season, and Juventus are keen on him signing him after he impressed at Roma over the past two seasons.

The report even states that the Old Lady see Szczesny as a potential replacement for Gianluigi Buffon who is set to play his final season before retiring next summer.

This comes after Sky Sports reporter Gianluca DiMarzio reported on his personal website on Saturday that the 27-year-old was set to fly to Italy to complete a move to Juventus within days.

The Pole was a mainstay between the sticks for Roma last term, making 38 league appearances and keeping 14 clean sheets.

He joined the north Londoners from Polish side Legia Warsaw in the summer of 2006, and he went on to play 181 league and cup games for the club.

Szczesny has been capped by Poland on 28 occasions, and he featured for the full 90 minutes as his nation’s 3-1 World Cup qualifying win over Romania last month.
