Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Monaco sensation Thomas Lemar, according to a recent report in The Sun.

The newspaper has revealed that a long-term deal and an approximate weekly wage worth £90,000 has been agreed with the 21-year-old’s representatives.

The Sun report that the Ligue 1 outfit are holding out for fee of £80million for the France international, which would take Arsene Wenger’s summer transfer spend over £100 million after the boss bagged France team mate Alexandre Lacazette for £45 million earlier in the week.

It is said that Arsenal’s bids of £30million and £40million for Lemar have been rejected out of hand.

The Sun claim that French winger has made it clear that he is in favour of a summer switch to the top flight of English football.

But Lemar’s current club Monaco want to keep the player for another season in order to see if his value increases with another impressive campaign under his belt.

The left-sided ace could be headed for Emirates Stadium if the two sides are able to agree a package.

Lemar joined Monaco from SM Caen in 2015 in a five-year-deal worth £3.4 million, and the young star has a further three years remaining with the club.

The Frenchman showcased his talents last season and helped his club win the Ligue 1 title after he made 55 appearances where he scored 14 goals and provided 17 assists.
