Ndiaye arrival at West Ham unlikely

|

West Ham are not looking at making a move for Osmanlispor midfielder Badou Ndiaye this summer, according to Claret and Hugh.

The West Ham news website, which has established itself as a reliable source of knowledge around the club, report that a source claims that the Hammers are not in the market for a central midfielder like Ndiaye this summer.

They say that his arrival would only happen if Slaven Bilic decided to offload one of their current midfielders, but state that the priority for the club is securing the signing of strikers and wide players.

Ndiaye had been linked with an £8.5million move to the club by the Daily Mail, with fellow London side Crystal Palace also said to be in the running.

That report came a couple of weeks after Turkish newspaper Haberturk had claimed that the Hammers had made an £8.8million bid to secure his signing, but it appears that both stories could prove to be wide of the mark.

Serbian boss Bilic has already let one central player depart the London Stadium this summer, with midfield enforcer Havard Nordtveit sold to German side Hoffenheim for a reported £5million.

There only senior arrival this summer has been former Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta on a free transfer, while they were also reported to have secured the signing of Ajax youngster Anouar El Mhassani on a three-year deal.
