Leeds should consider making an official loan offer for Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent, but face some serious competition for his signature.

The Express claim that the Whites are among 10 clubs that are interested in loaning the 20-year-old winger ahead of the new season.

Thomas Christiansen’s side are credited as interested parties alongside Huddersfield, Middlesbrough, Derby, Sunderland, Bristol City, Reading, Aston Villa, Barnsley.

Kent is a product of the Liverpool academy and has been with them since a youngster.

The wide man usually operates on the left winger and has previously enjoyed spells at Coventry and Barnsley to gain regular first-team experience.
His time at Oakwell last season makes him a particularly attractive option for so many Championship clubs and Leeds need to jump the queue to secure the talented winger.

He made 47 appearances during his season-long loan spell and was an ever-present in their team, scoring three goals and supplying three assists in return.

The midfielder made such a big impression that he was named Barnsley’s young player of the year and certainly made a big impression.

Kent is regarded as a very promising talent at Anfield, but he is unlikely to get many opportunities for the season with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane stood in his path.

However, Leeds would be the perfect place for the Englishman to continue his development and the Yorkshire club will hope to be involved in a promotion race.

The winger has great pace and trickery, while also possessing the football brain that stands out in Championship matches.

Leeds could do with bolstering their options out wide and capturing promising talent Kent would be another strong signing this summer.
