Leeds United fans have expressed their delight after the club announced that they had agreed a deal for Huesca forward Samuel Saiz.
The Yorkshire club confirmed that the 26-year-old would join the squad at Elland Road after undergoing a medical, and announced that a deal had been settled.
Saiz had an impressive 2016/17 campaign at Huesca, as the Spaniard was close to helping his side to promotion after reaching the play offs, and he will hope to gain promotion with Leeds next season.
Supporters of the Championship outfit took to Twitter to express their excitement following the news, with many fans commenting on his potential, while others mocked former boss Garry Monk and suggested that Saiz will help the club reach the top flight next season.
However, there was one dissenting voice, who lamented the exit of another forward, Alfonso Pedraza.

Buzzin about Siaz, looks like a player! Low centre of gravity and quick, Jamie Ward kinda mould but hopefully 100times better ?? #Lufc

Gutted Pedraza left. Loads of potential. Hoping Saiz is as good as he's been built up to be.

We beat three La Liga teams to sign Saiz. We're competing with Spanish premier league teams to sign a player.

Seems to be a lot of pressure being put straight on Saiz's shoulders. Let the lad settle in first #LUFC

One of the Leeds supporters poked fun at former boss Monk, who is now the manager of Middlesbrough, after he made a shock resignation from the club back in May, and the fan suggested that the new Elland Road leader would help the club to promotion during the 2017/18 campaign.
Thomas Christiansen has made a big impact at the Yorkshire club already, after he was appointed as Monk’s successor last month.
Since joining, Christiansen has focussed on bolstering the squad in order to give the Championship club the best chance of reaching the Premier League, as he has recruited six new players, which will soon total up to seven once Saiz has completed his medical.
