Everton should seriously consider moving for Arsenal ace Lucas Perez to improve their options in the striker position.

The International Business Times claim that the 28-year-old wants to leave the Gunners this summer and that Spanish club Deportivo La Coruna have submitted a £9million bid.

It is understood that the La Liga side want to re-sign the forward despite selling him to Arsenal just 12 months ago.

Everton were interested in signing Perez back in 2016 and should now reignite their interest as he looks set for an exit from the Emirates Stadium.

The Toffees may have added attacking options Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez to their squad already in the transfer window, but there is certainly a need for a third forward at Goodison Park.

Ronald Koeman’s side have sold Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United and are relying solely on developing youngsters beyond Rooney and Sandro.

Perez would be a superb addition if he joined and a bargain price if they can get him at close to the £9million fee that Deportivo have bid.

The forward was restricted to just 21 appearances for Arsenal last season, but showed enough to make fans annoyed that he could now leave the club.

He was mainly used as a substitute by Arsene Wenger and was unable to force his way ahead of the likes of Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud.

However, he still managed seven goals and five assists last campaign during his limited time and could thrive in the Premier League if given a real opportunity.

Perez has shown that he has good pace, technical ability, and a calmness in front of goal.

There was an obvious reason Everton were keen on the Spaniard last summer and he would be yet another fantastic signing if Koeman can pull it off.
