Leeds have not yet made contact for Wolves defender Danny Batth, but “there could be something” in the link to teammate Dominic Iorfa, according to reliable journalist Joe Rawson.

Radio Yorkshire correspondent Rawson has responded to the rumours on his personal Twitter account on Friday, stating that while there has not yet been a move for centre-back Batt, the Yorkshire giants could be pushing forward with a move for right-back Iorfa.

The Batth link follows claims from the Sunday Mirror stating that Leeds were planning a double swoop on Wolves for the 26-year-old and his teammate Matt Doherty.

Meanwhile, the Iorfa link started as a rumour after the Mirror reported that the Midlands club were looking to offload the 22-year-old, who was left out of the club’s pre-season tour of Austria and they could now have some substance.

The Iorfa deal will possibly interest Leeds fans further with the player still having some room to grow, while Batth is very much considered a standard Championship defender.

The youngster was also once considered one of Wolves’ brightest talents and has been capped 13 times at England Under-21 level alongside featuring 93 times in the Midlands side’s senior team.

Thomas Christiansen’s side are well covered in the right-back slot at the moment with both Luke Ayling and Gaetano Berardi able to play the position, but the club may be looking someone who they feel can progress with the side.
