Martyn Waghorn has been named in the Rangers starting eleven to face Progres Niederkorn in Thursday night, and fans on Twitter are not happy.
The 27-year-old forward was a first-team regular at Ibrox last season, and he has been handed an unchanged role as Rangers kick off their 2017-18 campaign with a Europa League first-qualifying round clash.
Rangers announced their confirmed starting line-up on their official club website ahead of kick-off, where Waghorn was named among eight previous Rangers senior stars.

But there is also room for manager Pedro Caixinha to introduce three of his summer signings into the fold, handing Fabio Cardoso, Dalcio and Ryan Jack their competitive debuts.
The inclusion of experienced midfielder Niko Kranjcar is also set to catch the eye of Rangers fans, with the crocked star returning form injury to make his very first appearance for the club since October.
However, the majority of Rangers fans cannot overlook the decision to hand Waghorn a starting role, and have taken to social media to voice their concerns.

Waghorn made 41 appearances in all competitions during the 2016-17 campaign, scoring 16 goals and supplying nine assists, but fans remained unconvinced by his performances.
Caixinha has triggered a drastic overhaul of the first-team squad following the end of the previous campaign, and has axed a number of senior players from his setup, including Clint Hill, Joe Garner and Andy Halliday.
However, the former Wigan Athletic attacker has managed to avoided the cull, and looks set to play an important role under Caixinha over the course of the new season.
