Leeds United fans have launched another scathing attack on Garry Monk after he was unveiled as the new Middlesbrough manager last week.
The Championship club announced on Friday that they had appointed the 38-year-old as their new manager, following his resignation at Leeds at the end of last month.
But Monk was not officially unveiled at the Riverside until Monday morning, where he discussed his one-year stint at Elland Road in brief before focusing on the challenge ahead.
As quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Leon Wobschall on his personal Twitter account, Monk admitted that “certain things didn’t suit him” at Leeds, and that Middlesbrough “ticked all the right boxes.”

However, Leeds United fans are still very bitter over Monk’s decision to quit the club, and his decision to join one of their Championship rivals has only increased the feeling of contempt towards him, as they fired response back on social media.

However, Monk’s brief reflection on his time at Leeds United still failed to offer fans a clear insight as to what triggered his sudden departure from the club, and fans consider the lack of clarity an act of disrespect.
Monk had been in talks with owner Andrea Radrizzani over a fresh 12-month contract extension, with his previous deal set to expire this summer.
But the club later revealed that after just the second day of talks that it had become clear that Monk did not intend to commit his future to the Yorkshire-club.
Leeds remain on the hunt for a successor, with Radrizzani admitting he would be interviewing candidates for the role over the past seven days.
Monk, meanwhile, begins life at Middlesbrough, who are looking to earn an immediate return to the Premier League.
