Wolves have agreed terms with Dutch side Heracles for striker Paul Galdon to move on a season-long loan, it was confirmed on Thursday.

The official Twitter account of the Midlands side announced on Thursday afternoon that the 25-year-old had re-signed for his former club until the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

Gladon only made the switch to Wolves last summer in an undisclosed deal from Eredivisie side Heracles after returning 24 goals in 44 matches in all competitions in the 2015-16 season.

However, the last campaign was one to forget for the Dutchman and following his move he managed to play just three times in all competitions for Wolves without returning a goal.

He will now be keen to kick start his career back up in Holland, while Wolves look to make a push for promotion under summer appointment Nuno Espirito Santo.

The former Porto manager has already been busy so far this summer, bringing in each of Roderick Miranda, Ryan Bennett and Phil Ofosu-Ayeh.

It is also believed that he will now look to strengthen his squad further and following the departure of Gladon a new forward could be on the cards with just Nouha Dicko, Joe Mason and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson left as senior strikers in the squad.
