Burnley have been installed as overwhelming favourites to sign Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
Sky Bet have priced the Premier League club at 1/20 to secure the signature of the 23-year-old during the summer transfer window following reports that it is virtually a done deal.
The next-best priced club are Scottish treble winners Celtic, who are a relatively distant 9/1 in the betting.
The shift comes after reports that Taylor will sign for Sean Dyche’s side as soon as his Leeds contract comes to an end today (Friday).
Burnley Express sports editor Chris Boden took to his personal Twitter on Monday to report that the deal is now “done” after he agreed personal terms with the top-flight outfit.

However, the two clubs are still said to be some way apart on agreeing a fee for the left-back, who is a free agent from 1 July but is under the age of 24 and Leeds are entitled to compensation costs as he graduated from their academy.
The Lancashire Evening Telegraph reported on Thursday of last week that Leeds are confident of securing over £5million for the 23-year-old were the fee to be settled by an independent commission.
