Goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald has reportedly packed his bags to fly to England for a Leeds medical – and fans of the club predict he will be the new No1.
Yorkshire Evening Post chief football writer Phil Hay revealed on his personal Twitter account on Thursday that the 27-year-old is set to imminently quit Werder Bremen for Elland Road.
Wiedwald will arrive from Germany for a medical in the next 24 hours as he puts the finishing touches to a Leeds transfer.

The potential move of Wiedwald from the Bundesliga to the Championship has gathered pace since German outlet Kicker reported on Tuesday afternoon that Bremen had secured an agreement with the Yorkshire giants, while the Mail reported on Wednesday morning that Leeds will spend around £400,000 to seal the deal.
It appears the signing is now in the bag as Leeds prepare to unveil their third senior goalkeeper, who is set to compete with established number one Rob Green and Marco Silvestri for the first-team slot.
Supporters of the club predicted on Twitter that Wiedwald will eventually oust Green, who is 37 and out of contract next summer.

Surely he’ll be assuming he’s coming over as first choice if he was a no.1 in the Bundesliga for the past two seasons?

Safe to assume that will signal the end of Silvestri?

Former Germany Under-20 international Wiedwald was a regular for Bremen last season as they achieved an eighth placed finish in the Bundesliga.
The goalkeeper made 26 appearances for the club in all competitions, conceding 51 times, while keeping just five clean sheets.
By contrast, Green overcame a shaky start to be one of Leeds’ outstanding players in the second half of the season as they challenged strongly for promotion before a final-month collapse.
