Leeds are among a number of Championship clubs eyeing Stevenage centre-forward Ben Kennedy, according to HITC Sport.

The news outlet names both the Yorkshire giants and league rivals Derby specifically as two of the clubs who are monitoring the 20-year-old.

It is also detailed that Leeds have had a long held interest in the Northern Irishman and they could even make a move as Thomas Christiansen looks to bolster his squad in his first window in charge.

Kennedy made his first team debut back in January 2015 for Stevenage after having just turned 18.

He has since gone on to make 81 appearances in total for the League Two outfit, returning 16 goals alongside 16 assists.

The youngster also boasts the ability to play on both the left and right wings as well as his more natural central role and last season alone he managed nine goals and nine assists in 39 matches in all competitions.

There is no mention of a fee in the HITC report, but Kennedy is still contracted to Stevenage until 2019 and the club led by Darren Sarll are also said to be keen to keep hold of their bright prospect as they themselves target promotion from the English fourth tier.
