Real Zaragoza forward Angel is attracting Aston Villa alongside QPR, Hull and Reading, according to the Daily Mail.

The news site have detailed in their transfer blog (4.46pm) that the Midlands giants are eyeing the 30-year-old alongside three other Championship clubs.

It is reported that London-based side QPR sent scouts to watch the experienced Sapniard in Sunday evening’s Spanish second tier clash between Girona and Zaragoza, ending in a 0-0 draw.

Angel played the full 90 minutes of the encounter, but he was unable to add to his 21 goals for the season during the clash.

The forward has been in fine form this campaign and his goals have came from 38 league matches while he has also provided four assists.

His contract is also set to run out this summer, meaning that any of his pursuers could pick him up free of charge once the window opens.

Aston Villa have spent heavily on strikers since their relegation from the Premier League and both Ross McCormack and Jonathan Kodjia joined last summer for £12million and £15million fees respectively, while Scott Hogan joined in January for a deal also thought to be worth £12million.

Steve Bruce meanwhile will be scouring the summer market for potential new additions and he could see Angel as one of his targets.
