Championship side Bolton Wanderers could complete a double loan signing for West Ham’s Josh Cullen and Reece Burke by next week, according to the Bolton News.

The newspaper claim on their website that the Hammers might secure second successive loan deals for the promising academy graduates, after both spent nearly the entirety of last season on temporary deals at football league clubs.

Central midfielder Cullen was a constant fixture in League One Bradford City’s side, as he made 46 appearances across all competitions to help his side reach the playoff final, where they were narrowly defeated by Millwall.

Burke meanwhile spent the season on loan at north west side Wigan, but the centre back played a much smaller role than his fellow Hammer, appearing just 10 times for the Latics as they suffered relegation from the Championship.

Both players have first team experience for West Ham, with Burke having appeared on 12 occasions, most recently in both legs of their Europa League qualifying defeat to Astra Giurgiu in August 2016.

Cullen’s last appearance came in August 2015, as he made a last minute substitute appearance in a 3-0 win over Liverpool in the Premier League, and has clocked up four appearances for the Hammers in his fledgling career.

He is also an Ireland U21 international with eight appearances to his name, and captained the side to a 1-0 victory over Kosovo in his last appearance in March 2017.
