Slaven Bilic is reportedly set to miss out on a reunion with Besiktas ace Oguzhan Ozyakup as Marseille steal a march on their rivals to land the midfielder.
Turkish newspaper Fanatik claimed earlier this month that West Ham were expected to make a bid for the 24-year-old star, who captained Besiktas to a second successive SuperLig title this season.
However, A Spor reporter Hakan Gündogar revealed live on air that Ligue 1 giants Marseille are set to press ahead with a move to sign the Turkey international, after Ozyakup met with the French outfit’s manager Rudi Garcia.

The tweet translates as “Hakan Gündogar: Oguzhan Özyakup sat down at the table with the manager of Marseille.”
Ozyakup had caught the eye of Bilic after scoring five goals and turning provider on a further nine occasions during his 40 league and cup encounters this season, with only 12 months remaining on his current contract.
