The versatile Nottingham Forest forward could be looking for a new challenge this summer after he saw his current side avoid relegation from the Championship by the skin of their teeth. Only goal difference meant that 21st placed Forest avoided the drop, and 24-year-old Assombalonga’s 14 goals last season played a big part in ensuring their survival.

Contracted to the club until 2021, Leeds might face a tough job convincing Forest to sell one of their prize assets, but a big money bid should be convincing enough. He will be keen to prove himself up the table, and should fire the Whites to a top six finish at least.
