Former Borussia Dortmund player Langerak played a crucial part in Stuttgart’s promotion back to the top tier of German football this season, as he kept 10 clean sheets in 36 matches to go up as champions.
Celtic icon Chris Sutton told BT Sport last month that the Hoops should replace goalkeeper Craig Gordon this summer and his errors in between the sticks for Scotland against England will have done him no favours.
Now, with only 12 months remaining on the eight-time international’s contract, Celtic could see Langerak take to the field and they should keep a close eye on the 28-year-old as he rivals Brighton stopper Mathew Ryan for a starting spot.
