Rangers fans have expressed their support for Andy Halliday on Twitter after a report in The Scottish Sun claimed that the midfielder would be leaving Ibrox this summer.
The report revealed that Halliday has been ordered to train with the Under-20 squad from now on after boss Pedro Caixinha told the 25-year-old that he is surplus to the club’s requirements.
It is said that Caixinha is happy for the Scottish midfielder to go out on loan next season as the player isn’t part of his plans for the upcoming campaign.
Gers fans took to Twitter to share their support for the defensive midfielder, saying they had respect for the Bradford City star who they described as “one of us”.

Andy Halliday would be remembered entirely differently if Warburton's Rangers could have defended two corners in a cup final. A shame.

Halliday joined his childhood club back in July 2015 from Bradford City, and during his two seasons with the club he made a total of 90 appearances, providing 15 goals and eight assists.
The midfielder has three years remaining on his contract at the Ibrox but he seems to be the latest victim of Caixinha’s first-team squad overhaul after it was reported in the Daily Record last month that the Gers boss was looking to cull the team in order to pave way for new signings.
The Rangers boss has already made a dramatic impact during his first transfer window with the club and has made a total of eight signings so far in the hopes of snatching the Scottish Premier League title from treble winners Celtic next season.
