The Daily Record claim Sheffield United have re-opened talks with Celtic over a second round of negotiations that would see the former Dundee United ace move down south to the newly-promoted Championship side.
Making 11 appearances in all competitions this season for Celtic, Mackay-Steven would struggle to even hit double figures in terms of matches played next season following the capture of Hayes and a move would be well advised.
