Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has named three summer signings in his starting eleven to face Progres Niederkorn at Ibrox on Thursday.

Ryan Jack, Fabio Cardoso, and Dalcio are all handed their competitive debuts for the club, as both they and Caixinha embark upon their first full seasons in Scotland.

The Scottish giants take on the Luxembourg outfit in the first-leg of their Europa League first-qualifying round tie, with the second-leg due to take place on July 4.

Rangers announced their starting eleven on their official club Twitter account ahead of kick-off.

Caixinha has moved to wipe clean the slate following a disappointing campaign in 2016-17, and the Portuguese has elected to field just eight of his senior stars from the previous campaign.

However, there will also be a keen sense of intrigue over the long-awaited return for Niko Kranjcar, who missed the majority of last season through injury.

Kranjcar has not appeared in a competitive game for the club since October 14, but is handed a fresh start to his stagnating Rangers career at Ibrox on Thursday.

Wes Foderingham, James Tavernier, Lee Wallace, David Bates, Jason Holt, Kenny Miller and Martyn Waghorn are the seven remaining familiar faces that make the cut.

The tie marks the very first occasion that Rangers have competed in European competition since the 2011-12 campaign, having spent several seasons outside of the Scottish top-flight.

The club boast a long history in the Champions League, but they must wait to compete in Europe’s premier competition for at least another season due to their third-placed finish in the Scottish Premiership last term.

However, Caixinha will be determined to see his side go the distance in the Europa League this term, and the first hurdle sees them go up against one of the lowest ranked teams in the qualifying stages.
