Everton, Newcastle and West Ham want Jota

Premier League trio Newcastle, Everton and West Ham are interested in signing Brentford playmaker Jota, according to West London Sport.

The report claims all three sides are looking to hand the Spanish attacker a chance to shine in the top tier of English football, but would have to part with £8million to sign the 25-year-old ace.

It is believed that Jota has caught the eye of the top-tier sides after returning to Championship side Brentford in January following a disappointing loan spell with La Liga outfit Eibar.

Brentford’s number 23 has had a hand in 17 goals during his 23 appearances since his move back to the Bees, with Dean Smith’s side finishing in a healthy tenth place despite losing striker Scott Hogan to Aston Villa in January.

A deal could be struck for Real Madrid youth player Jota, who has just 12 months remaining on his current deal at Griffin Park with Brentford.

Newcastle currently have Mohamed Diame and Ayoze Perez as options in the number 10 role but the duo were inconsistent throughout the season, with Rafa Benitez likely to strengthen his side this summer.

However, the Toon could face competition for the former Celta Vigo ace, with Everton and West Ham also looking to bolster their options in the final as Ronald Koeman and Slaven Bilic look likely to add to their squads this summer.
