Tottenham are ready to sell Kevin Wimmer this summer to a club who meets their £17.5million asking price, according to Express Deutschland.

The German news outlet claim Spurs are prepared to cash in on centre-back Wimmer two years after signing him for £5million from Bundesliga outfit Koln.

Express report that the Premier League giants have told potential suitors that it will cost more than three times his 2015 fee to land the defender in the summer transfer window.

It is said that clubs from Germany and England are interested in the Austria international, who has made it clear he only wants to move somewhere if he can be a first-team regular.

Wimmer has struggled for game time during his two seasons at Spurs even though manager Mauricio Pochettino frequently used a system with three centre-backs in 2016-17.

The Argentine’s first-choice trio were Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Eric Dier, with Wimmer only occasionally deployed as cover.

He made just 10 appearances in all competitions in the recently completed season, with only five of those coming in the Premier League as Spurs stormed to a second-placed finish with their highest points tally in a generation.
