Tottenham Hotspur are one of three Premier League clubs eyeing a summer swoop for Sporting Lisbon ace Adrien Silva, according to a Record report.

The Portuguese news outlet claims Spurs, Watford, and Everton are all vying for the 28-year-old ace’s signature.

It is said Sporting have placed an £11million price tag on Silva, who is also a target for several unnamed French clubs.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is looking to strengthen his squad this summer, ahead of a serious title challenge next season.

The 2016-17 campaign was a successful one for Tottenham on the whole, as they finished in second-place in the Premier League and reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

However, they were fortunate with injuries and Harry Kane was the only player to miss an extended period with an ankle problem, so Pochettino is keen to add further options to his squad in case an injury crisis does arise.

Silva was one of Sporting’s top performers in the last term, scoring six goals in 36 appearances in all competitions, as well as providing four assist.

The central midfielder joined Sporting in the summer of 2001 from Bordeaux’s academy, and he broke into the first team set up at the club in January 2008.

The 28-year-old has since played 232 league and cup games for the club, which have yielded 38 goals and 19 assists.

Silva has been capped by Portugal on 16 occasions, and he played 45 minutes in their 4-0 friendly win over Cyprus earlier this month.
