His return to White Hart Lane comes after the central midfielder announced on Wednesday that he is retiring from football after 20 years at the top level of the game.
Parker will head back to Spurs after a four-year absence and at a time of great changes to the club’s youth-team coaching set-up.
Ex-goalkeeper Perry Suckling has also quit as QPR academy chief to fill two roles at Tottenham, academy coach and academy goalkeeping coach.
They will be joined at the club’s Enfield training headquarters by former England international Parker, who decided to hang up his boots after losing his regular starting place at Fulham in the recent domestic season.
He is fondly remembered at Tottenham for his two-year spell there in which he made 63 appearances from 2011 to 2013 and also had lengthy stints at West Ham, Newcastle, Chelsea and Charlton, where he began his career.
Parker was also capped 18 times by England and was a key member of their Euro 2012 squad, playing alongside Steven Gerrard in central midfield.
