Tottenham are second favourites to sign Liverpool central defender Mamadou Sakho, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
Sky Bet have priced the North London club at 5/1 to secure the signature of the 27-year-old before the summer transfer window shuts.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are currently ahead of a number of European teams who are also credited with an interest in signing the defender this summer, with fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace placed at 8/1, Italian side Roma at 10/1 and Napoli at 14/1.
Premier League side Southampton currently lead the way at 5/2 to sign the French defender this summer.
Sakho was sent out on loan to Palace during the January transfer window following a public falling out with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
Life at Selhurst Park started off well for the defender as he picked up three clean sheets in his first three Premier League matches with the London club.
The Frenchman was also involved in the victories against Chelsea and Arsenal in April which played an important role in helping Palace secure Premier League survival.
Sahko’s season was cut short as he suffered a knee ligament injury in a league match against Tottenham at Selhurst Park at the end of April.
The central defender only made eight league appearances last season.
