Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo could be set for a sensational return to Manchester United after it has emerged he wants to leave Spain, according to a reliable journalist.

Sky Sports correspondent Kaveh Solhekol claimed Ronaldo wants to leave Madrid after the recent allegations of tax fraud against him.

Solhekol posted the message on his personal Twitter account on Friday afternoon, which stated that United, PSG and a Chinese club are all possible destinations for the 32-year-old forward.

There is no doubt Solhekol’s admission that one of the top players in the world is linked with a move to Old Trafford will send the fans into a frenzy, but because he made his name there as a youngster – the effect will be doubled.

Ronaldo joined Madrid from United in the summer of 2009 in a sensational £80million switch, and he has since made 394 appearances in all competitions, which have yielded 406 goals and 125 assists.

He was in inspired form last term, and was one of his club’s top performers, scoring 42 goals in 46 league and cup games, as well as providing 12 assists.

The 32-year-old helped Los Blancos to La Liga and Champions League titles last season, and should Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho sign him it would be a truly massive coup.

Man United are possibly one of the few clubs in the world who could afford his fee and wages.

Ronaldo has been capped by Portugal on 139 occasions, and he has scored 73 goals.
