Leeds should throw their hat into the transfer ring to sign Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo this summer to bolster their problem area at centre-back.

The Daily Mail claim that the 19-year-old will be allowed to leave the club on loan ahead of the 2017-18 season, despite signing a new four-year deal with Pep Guardiola’s side.

It is believed that the one-time England Under-19 international is set to pick up a huge £40,000-a-week pay cheque after putting pen to paper, with Premier League, Championship and Bundesliga clubs after his signature.

Everton and Celtic had shown interest in the centre-back, who made three senior appearances for City last season and is renowned for his speed at the heart of the defence.

This Is Futbol analyses three reasons why the defender would prove a crucial signing at Elland Road as new manager Thomas Christiansen looks to end fans’ 13-year wait of a return to the Premier League.
