The report claims that Palace chairman Steve Parish has felt frustrated while trying to fill the position which Sam Allardyce resigned from after just five months, and the Chinese Super League manager looks likely to take on the role.
Allardyce joined the Eagles back in December, after Alan Pardew was sacked, and kept Palace safe from the relegation zone until he resigned in May 2017.
Since then Palace have been on the hunt for a manager, and missed out on interests Claudio Ranieri who was recently appointed Nantes manager, as well as former Hull boss Marco Silva.
The report claims that Palace still have their eye on Burnley boss Sean Dyche, however Pellegrini would make a good fit.
Pellegrini successfully led Man City to win the Premier League during his first season with the club back in 2013.
City also won the League cup during the Chileans’s final season, however, he left the Etihad in 2016 when his contract ended and made way for La Liga giant Pep Guardiola.
After City, Pellegrini moved to Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune. Now he could be set for a return to the Premier League.
