Arsenal have had a £17.6 million offer for Juventus attacker Juan Cuadrado rejected, according to a report in The Sun.

The newspaper claim that the bid was rejected and that the Serie A club are looking for an offer closer to £30 million before they agree to sell.

The Sun reports that the Italian club’s manager Massimiliano Allegri is willing to allow Cuadrado to depart in order to fund other transfers.

It is said that the Colombian could be making an exit from the newly named Allianz Stadium as they attempt to secure Fiorentina striker Federico Bernardeschi, who is expected to demand a big sum.

The Colombian international had a somewhat underwhelming season with Juventus after the 29-year-old only managed two goals in 30 Serie A appearances.

The 29-year-old was also sent off – unfairly – during the Champions League final where Juventus were defeated by La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The winger also had a less than successful season at Chelsea back in 2015 during his six-month loan, where he found it difficult to compete with club sensations Willian and Eden Hazard.

Despite a difficult few seasons, the Sun reports that Arsene Wenger is preparing for Alexis Sanchez’ potential exit during the summer, and believes that Cuadrado could be the man to replace the Chilean international.

Sanchez has been heavily linked to an exit from the Emirates over recent months with reports suggesting that the Arsenal forward could be moving to clubs such as Manchester City or Bayern Munich.
