Newcastle are reportedly considering spending £8.8million on Valencia ace Enzo Perez but Rafa Benitez should raid his former side for three other players instead of the midfielder.
Spanish newspaper AS claim the 31-year-old has been offered to multiple clubs in the Premier League, while a return to his home country with Argentinian giants River Plate is also an option.
It is claimed that Newcastle would be willing to stump up the transfer fee for the ex-Benfica midfielder, as the former Liverpool and Real Madrid manager looks to press on with his summer transfer activity.
However, the Valencia skipper has been in mediocre form for his side, making 29 appearances in all competitions as manager Voro guided his side to a mid-table finish in La Liga.
This Is Futbol believes there are better options to improve Newcastle’s midfield in European football, but Benitez should continue to target Valencia and move for three of Perez’s teammates instead.
