Tottenham are set to offload as many as five regular players from their first-team squad this summer, according to the Evening Standard.

The newspaper report that Kyle Walker, Georges Kevin-N’Koudou, Moussa Sissoko, Vincent Janssen and Michel Vorm are all likely to be moved on by the club in the forthcoming transfer window.

Spurs are backed to make several new additions to their first-team squad this summer, following their second-placed Premier League finish and qualification for the Champions League group-stages.

However, several players are likely to depart in a bid to balance the books, and three of Tottenham’s ill-fated signings could find themselves on the scrap heap after only a year at the club.

N’Koudou, 22, made just 17 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham last season, but failed to complete a full 90 minutes, or start a single Premier League match.

The report states that the young winger is set for a return to France this summer, although it is unclear whether the £11million flop will leave on a permanent or temporary basis.

Meanwhile, with Tottenham on the hunt for more reliable backup to Harry Kane in the goalscoring department, Janssen could find himself axed by Mauricio Pochettino.

He arrived in a £17million deal from AZ Alkmaar last summer, but scored just two goals from his 27 Premier League appearances, with only one of those strikes coming from open play.

Sissoko is also set to be axed after falling well short of expectation after his £30million move last summer. The France international found regular first-team opportunities at a premium, but failed to justify his selection when Pochettino turned to him.

But with the 2018 World Cup on the horizon, the 27-year-old is willing to pursue a summer exit to boost his chances of selection for the tournament.

The final two potential departures are full-back Kyle Walker and goalkeeper Michel Vorm, with Manchester City expected to win the race for 27-year-old Walker.

The England international has been a regular feature in the starting eleven at Tottenham over the last couple of seasons, but could be about to call-time on his career in north London and seal a move to one of their Premier League rivals.

It was revealed by the Independent on Tuesday that Man City boss Pep Guardiola is set to turn his attention to Walker once a deal for goalkeeper Ederson is completed in the coming days.

Vorm, meanwhile, has spent the majority of his Tottenham career serving as deputy to first-choice stopper Hugo Lloris, and the 33-year-old could seek out a fresh challenge and more regular opportunities.

He was ahead of third-choice Pau Lopez in the pecking order last season, but with Tottenham planning to offer the on loan Spaniard a permanent deal at Wembley, Vorm is likely to depart.
