Morgan Schneiderlin has promised Everton fans that he intends to perform much better next season and claimed that “there’s more to come”.

The 27-year-old midfielder signed for the Merseyside club from fellow Premier League side Manchester United during the January transfer window for a fee around £20million.

The Frenchman made his Everton debut in the emphatic 4-0 victory over Manchester City at Goodison Park in January.

The France international would go on to make 14 appearances for his new side in all competitions and he scored his first goal for the Toffees in the 3-0 win against West Bromwich Albion at home in mid-March.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Schneiderlin admits that he wants to show everybody at the club that he is capable of producing the goods in his first full season on Merseyside.

“I want to have a great pre-season, push myself to the limit and push this football club back to the top,” he said.

“I know myself and I know there’s more to come from me. I’m happy with my performances but I know I can push myself even more to be the best as possible.

“In all my career, every season I have wanted to improve, wanted to get better than the season before and to be the best I can. I’m 27 now but I’m not going to stop. I just want to improve every day.”

Next season will be vital for Schneiderlin especially with the 2018 World Cup in Russia on the horizon.

The Everton man was not selected to represent the France national team for the World Cup qualifier against Sweden or the friendly match against England on Tuesday.

The Frenchman produced some of his best football in England under current boss Ronald Koeman during his spell at Southampton and he will be hoping to replicate this form next season.
