Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez is set to sign a four year deal at Everton with a clause meaning he could depart the club next summer.

The 21-year-old forward has been heavily linked with a move to Goodison Park this summer, with the Toffees set to snatch him up after activating a £5.2million release clause in his contract, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

Reliable Daily Mail journalist Dominic King reported on his personal Twitter account last Saturday that the Spanish U21 international had passed a medical with the Toffees, although he proved to be wide of the mark when claiming it would be announced by Tuesday:

Now, Spanish radio station Onda Cero Malaga, who are based out of the city from which Ramirez is departing, claim on their Twitter account that the striker will sign a four year deal with Everton, with a release clause included in his contract:

A translation of the Tweet reads: “@sandroramirez9 will sign 4 seasons with Everton with the option of being able to leave after the first year to another club”

The news of a release clause will cause concern among the majority of Everton fans, who will be worried that they could find themselves in the same situation as Malaga have this season, with the Spanish side set to lose him for so little money after a hugely impressive season.

Ramirez hit home 16 goals and contributed five assists in 31 appearances across all competitions during the last campaign, and the Toffees will be anxious that if he replicates his fine form, another club could swoop in next summer.
