Niasse heading out as Everton attacker deal imminent

|

Everton outcast Oumar Niasse is destined to end his nightmare spell at the club in the coming months, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The newspaper claim that the 27-year-old is still on the scrapheap at the Merseyside club, and is set to be pushed out once a deal for Malaga’s Sandro Ramirez is finalised.

Ronald Koeman is looking to continue his summer overhaul of the first-team squad, and has already splashed out more than £50million to bring in Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen.

An agreement has also been reached to make Ramirez his third summer signing after Everton triggered the attacker’s £5.2million release clause, and he is set to complete his move imminently.

But the arrival of the former Barcelona youngster in a seven-figure deal will see Koeman trim the deadweight from his first-team squad, and Niasse is expected to be cut out.

Everton permitted him to join Hull City on loan for the second-half of the 2016-17 season, where he scored five goals from 19 appearances as the Tigers were relegated from the Premier League.

It is understood that Hull were presented with the chance to sign Niasse on a permanent deal for around £10million at the end of his loan spell, but the club declined the offer.

Niasse moved to Everton in a £13.5million deal in February last year, but has since managed just seven first-team appearances for the club, and is not likely to feature next season.

He has endured a torrid time at the club under Koeman, with the Dutchman electing to banish the Senegal international to the reserve side shortly after his arrival last summer.

The striker was not even assigned a squad number, a brutal admission to the player that he was surplus to requirements at the club.

But despite finding some form for Hull, it appears as though Koeman’s stance on the player has not changed, and the Everton chief will seek out a number of potential destinations for him this summer.

The Liverpool Echo also report, meanwhile, that the signing of Ramirez is set to be officially confirmed by Everton on Thursday.
