Everton are set to complete the signing of Malaga attacker Sandro Ramirez on Thursday, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The newspaper claim that the Merseyside club sent a delegation to Poland 24 hours ago to finalise a deal for the Spain Under-21 international, who is currently at the European Championships.

A fee worth just £5.2million has already been agreed between the two clubs due to a buy-out clause in the player’s contract, and Ramirez is set to become Everton’s third signing of the summer.

The Toffees have already splashed out more than £50million to land both Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen, as manager Ronald Koeman strengthens the foundations of his side ahead of the new season.

Everton are set to compete in the Europa League in 2017-18, and Koeman’s swift transfer business suggests he is looking to have his side well-prepared for the challenge ahead.

Ramirez held talks with Everton ahead of his proposed move last week and has already passed a medical, paving the way for the Barcelona academy product to be officially unveiled on Thursday.

La Liga giants Atletico Madrid had earlier threatened to thrown the spanner in the works to any potential Everton deal, but they were forced to withdrew their interest after their transfer ban was upheld.

The highly-rated young attacker scored 16 goals and supplied five assists from 31 appearances in all competitions for Malaga last season.
