Everton should turn their attention to three other Premier League central midfielders after reportedly missing out on West Ham ace Pedro Obiang.

The Mirror claim that West Ham have opened talks with the Spanish midfielder over a new contract at the London Stadium, and the Hammers are hopeful of an agreement in the next fortnight.

The 25-year-old was said to be interesting the Toffees as well as La Liga outfit Sevilla and Italian giants AC Milan ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Former Sampdoria midfielder Obiang has just two years remaining on his current deal with Slaven Bilic’s side but that is now expected to be extended and if it is Everton will have to look elsewhere for midfield additions.
