Everton fans excited by Berardi link

Everton fans have taken to Twitter to urge their club to sign Sassuolo ace Domenico Berardi.

Their messages came after Il Messaggero reported the Toffees were ready to battle it out with Roma for the 22-year-old right-sided attacker’s services.

The Italian publication claimed Everton are interested in the Italian starlet, who is valued at around £22million by his club.

However, the fact Berardi is keen on a move to Roma to play under Eusebio Di Francesco has put a dent in Everton’s chances of signing him.

The 22-year-old was one of Sassuolo’s top performers last term, finding the net 10 times in 25 league and cup games, as well as supplying 11 assists.

He has spent the majority of his career at Sassuolo, and he has made 159 appearances across all competitions for the club, which have yielded 59 goals and 43 assists.

The Italian is comfortable anywhere in a front three, and he has spent his whole career at the Mapei Stadium, barring a short spell at Juventus between 2013 and 2015.

The Goodison Park faithful were excited by their club’s reported interest in Berardi and they took to Twitter to show it.
