Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko could be set to end his nightmare spell with a move to China this summer, according to the Gambling Times.

The betting-based newspaper report that the Tottenham flop is attracting “strong” interest from China, and that Spurs are keen to listen to offers for his services.

Sissoko moved to north London in a £30million deal last summer, but could be sold just one year later after failing to live up to expectations.

The 27-year-old gave an impressive display for France at Euro 2016 prior to his move, however he managed just four assists and not a single goal from his 34 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham last term.

The player himself has already declared he may have to leave the club to boost his chances of being named in the France squad for the World Cup next year, and has opened the door to a number of leagues, including China.

Tottenham are not likely to stand in his way this summer, but a move to China represents a rare opportunity for Spurs to recoup what they paid for him last summer.

Few other clubs will be prepared to offer such a lucrative financial package, while Sissoko could also earn himself a significant pay-rise if he chooses to move to the Far East.

French giants Marseille, for example, who have reportedly shown an interest in the player, are not prepared to sanction a £30million move.
